Q&A with Marco Aguilar, Vice President and Chief of Staff

Why did your organization decide to move to Office 365?

This had been an item/initiative that the organization had been discussing for a few years. We had made the decision to migrate to Office 365 at the same time we had to replace our server in our office.

The motivation was the scalability, cost savings, productivity gains and levels of customer/member service as elements that would improve within our business.

Our strategy and migration would not have been possible if it were not for CloudBearing.

How has Office 365 impacted your organization?

  • We as an organization have been very pleased with the positive impact this move has made in terms of:
  • Improved Productivity
  • Internal communications
  • Security
  • Connectivity/Mobility
  • Cost savings in terms of service and maintenance
  • A new awareness and leverage of the additional cloud based technologies

Would you recommend Office 365 to others?

I whole heartedly recommend Office 365!

I would say that when a major change arrives on the IT scene it’s not always clear what the implications will be, if any, and so for large organizations a risk-managed wait-and-see attitude tends to prevail. We did for a few years, the “Cloud” was something regularly talked about in our office and by some executives but no action was ever taken.

So when I reviewed and did our research, we identified three areas that would have a great impact on our organization 1) cost savings, 2) improvements to operations and 3) ways to tackle business problems that offer significant strategic advantage; I quickly learned that this was a risk worth taking.

In the end if the benefit is significant in at least one or more of these areas, then the more strategic the advance is and the greater potential it will impact the bottom line. I am pleased to say we have seen significant benefit in all three of the areas mentioned above.

How would you describe your experience with Cloudbearing?

Our strategy and migration would not have been possible if it were not for CloudBearing. They latterly walked the organization through the entire process as painlessly and seamlessly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!
